Description
This young, wet and fresh ginger is grown outdoors in our own greenhouse in the Netherlands. The ginger is freshly harvested (during the seasonal period) weekly and is undried. Besides looking nice, the ginger is extra juicy and has lots of flavor and less fiber and threads. Leaving a piece of the stem attached keeps it fresh longer. The stems themselves also impart a lot of flavor in soups and sauces.
Store the ginger in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks after receipt. If you want to store the ginger outside the refrigerator, you can do so without packaging. The ginger will then dry out slowly.
Season September-November.
